The Werewolf Bonfire
Like most cultures the werewolves pass down their history through the generations. This time Bella got invited to go to the werewolf bonfire where the oldest werewolves passed down their history. This bonfire reminded me alot of First Nations People sitting around the fire while their elders told stories of the history of their tribe. The oldest stories are about the Spirit Warriors, the ancestors of the werewolves in La Push, the Quileutes. The Spirit Warriors were men who could turn in to their spirit selves. They could turn into wolves just like the Quileutes. The Quileute elders told stories about the different chiefs of the spirit warriors.
Then he started telling stories about the Cold Ones. The Cold Ones were what the spirit warriors called vampires. They called them this because, vampires were cold creatures, meaning, not that they were cold hearted, but that they were cold to the touch, opposite of werewolves who are so warm they never get cold even it they go outside just wearing a t-shirt and shorts in the middle of winter. The Quileutes and the Cold Ones were immediate enemies because the Cold Ones were thirsty for blood and would attack and kill the Quileutes.
One day the Cold Ones came they were very thirsty and they wanted to kill the chief's sons, but their mother, the chief's 3rd wife was brave. She knew that if she made her blood spill the Cold Ones would be distracted by their thirst and they would forget about her sons. The Third Wife died. Even after the Quileute elders finished telling stories Bella could not stop thinking about the Third Wife.
